I’m thrilled to share that my submission, It Smells!, has been longlisted for CANSCAIP’s 2026 Writing for Children Competition.

More than 600 entries were submitted this year. Top 12% of Picture Book submissions made the longlist.

The shortlist will be announced in September, followed by the finalists and winners in October.

Grateful to see It Smells! make it this far—and excited to see what comes next.
